A new workshop for all levels of counselor experience!  

This workshop will support counselors in creating a comprehensive intake process for young children. The session will focus on attachment theory, assessment, superficially using ages and ages as part of an relational observation, understanding play during observation, and synthesizing all that data into a case conceptualization that leads to diagnosis and a treatment plan. This session will be highly participatory as we role play and evaluate clips of caregivers from media.

Our Presenter: Katie Thomas, LMHC, Assistant Director of Field Placement at William James University, Katie spent the past several years as a play therapist working with young children and families. Katie provides trainings to counselors, caregivers, and communities around social-emotional learning and trauma informed care.
