Terms of Use — MaMHCA Badges

MaMHCA Badges are designed to celebrate and publicly recognize milestones and accomplishments within the counseling profession. Whether you have completed training, achieved certification, or reached another professional benchmark, your badge is a symbol of your achievement.

If you have been awarded a MaMHCA Badge, you are encouraged to:

Download and retain the digital badge for your records.
Share your badge on social media platforms (e.g., LinkedIn, Facebook, X/Twitter).
Display your badge in your email signature.
Include your badge on professional websites, resumes, digital portfolios, or anywhere you wish to promote your accomplishment.

When using MaMHCA Badges, you agree:

To only use badges you have rightfully earned through participation in MaMHCA programs.
Not to alter the badge's design, wording, or official branding in any way.
Not to use the badge in a misleading, defamatory, or unlawful context.
To comply with all applicable professional and ethical standards when displaying your badge.

All MaMHCA Badges, including their design, logo, and branding, remain the intellectual property of MaMHCA. While badge recipients are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use their awarded badge(s) for personal and professional promotion, MaMHCA reserves the right to revoke this license at any time for misuse or misrepresentation.

MaMHCA reserves the right to revoke the use of any badge if:

The badge was obtained fraudulently.
The badge is used in violation of these terms.
The recipient engages in conduct inconsistent with MaMHCA’s mission or ethical standards.

MaMHCA Badges are intended for recognition purposes only. They do not represent licensure, certification, or legal qualification to practice counseling. Displaying a badge does not constitute endorsement or guarantee by MaMHCA of an individual’s services or qualifications beyond the stated achievement.

MaMHCA may update these Terms of Use from time to time. Continued use of your badge after any changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms. Please check this page periodically for updates.
