Over the past 6 years, Hillary's clinical work as a licensed psychologist (initially at Mass General, and now in independent practice) has focused on neuropsychological assessment of children, teens, and young adults. Questions around neurodivergence, including autism, ADHD, and executive dysfunction, often motivate parents to seek testing for their children, and young people to seek testing for themselves. She has published both empirical research and review articles in peer-reviewed journals (e.g., Journal of Autism and Developmental Disabilities) on gender and sexual diversity in autistic people, the educational experiences of autistic students, and cultural considerations in autism, among others.
