This is a 2 -part workshop.
You MUST attend both sessions to obtain your CEUs.
More and more, therapists are coming across actively suicidal youth in their practices. It's often not possible to screen out these clients, and with the shortage of providers across the nation, it is often not possible to refer out in a timely manner. This course is designed to provide therapists with a stronger ability to assess risk levels, increase safety, and adapt already known approaches to fit adolescent clients. Through the use of case discussion, role plays, and the highlighting of common methods and approaches, clinicians will gain the tools needed to effectively treat suicidal youth that are appropriate for outpatient treatment while maintaining overall safety.
Presenter: Cally Sullivan, LMHC
Presenter is currently a pediatric therapist in private practice that specializes in treating children and adolescents that have experienced suicidal ideation/ actions and self-harm behaviors.
