Working with Trans Clients in 2026
a clinical track workshop
< Live in Foxboro>
This will review the basics of trans competency and discuss important details therapists need to be familiar with. It will also discuss legal and ethical implications of doing this work in this particular time period, and the state of the law in Massachusetts and federally.
Become Trans Competent! Trans Clients need you.
Goal 1: To understand what gender-affirming care is
Goal 2: To deepen our understanding of gender identity and sexual identity and how these affect people’s lives
Goal 3: To be able to feel confident in taking a gender history and in writing letters for clients

I have been running peer support groups for trans competent expressive arts therapists for 5+ years now, and am passionate about more therapists of all stripes becoming more trans competent. I have a training I have offered privately that I would like to offer to the MaMHCA community
