MaMHCA is offering a new track on Grief and Loss.

It begins here, followed by 4 other workshops focused on this topic.

See the calendar for more information.

This workshop will offer perspectives on grief due to death and nondeath losses.  We will discuss ways to counsel grievers by integrating the loss into their life to go forward with rather than move on from the loss.  We will also explore ways that grief can manifest behaviorally, emotionally, physically, cognitively and/or spiritually. Lastly, attention will be given to the critical nature of counselor self-care in order to do the work.

with Ken Barringer, LMHC, is a long-time MaMHCA member and founder/director of H.E.A.L.I.N.G. [helping everyone accept loss instead of neglecting grief].  He has been working in this field since 1995, and has taught on the graduate level and for MaMHCA over these years.
