Improvisational Group Therapy
< Live On ZOOM>
Founded in 1985, Rehearsals for Growth (RfG) is an application of theatre improvisation to relationship therapy. Applied to group therapy informed by diverse approaches, RfG can facilitate learning, discovery and growth in individual group members, using other members as auxiliary players in enacted scenes. RfG group therapy enactments also enhance group formation and solidarity while developing useful social skills.
In this highly experiential workshop, volunteer participants will enact at least six brief FUN improvised enactments useful in achieving the abovementioned objectives. Key RfG concepts and perspectives will be shared, along with practical tips on introducing, staging and following up these enactments.
