This workshop will engage participants in understanding the presentation of psychosis, and how to overcome some of the challenges of working with this population. This includes addressing misconceptions that lead to conflict and disconnect versus collaboration and connection. By redefining psychosis in a way that understands and honors the client’s experience as meaningful, participants will create a foundation to develop rapport and person-centered goals with individuals living with psychosis. Several clinical approaches will be introduced.

About our presenter:

Stacie Lucius, LMHC

Stacie has over a decade of experience treating individuals with co-occurring psychosis (schizophrenia, bipolar, schizoaffective) and substance use disorders. Stacie has presented similar trainings for NHADACA and the NASW MA chapter and the Behavioral Health Summit in NH. She is licensed in NH and additionally has her LADC there.
